Futrell Family Cancer Fight Fund - Aubrey and Lesa Futrell

Link to Futrell Family Cancer Fight Fund

How do you calculate the value of a life saved? Your health? Your marriage? Or the relationship with your children?

How do you calculate the value of learning to BALANCE the stress of a career in law enforcement with your family and your health?
You cannot put a price on it but you can put a NAME on it and for most of us, that name is: Aubrey “Bulldog” Futrell

Through his years of teaching survival skills, both physical and mental he has saved the lives, sanity and families of thousands of law enforcement and emergency responders. He has certainly earned his place in heaven. However, right now he is going through hell. Aubrey’s wife, Lesa, has been battling cancer for the past 4 ½ years. Lesa and Aubrey have met every challenge with that positive, head-on Bulldog fashion agreeing to aggressive treatments in both Jackson and Houston at the MD Anderson Medical Center. However, this type of war exhausts you in so many ways: mentally, physically, spiritually, your leave time at work and financially.

If anyone can, Aubrey can handle the mental aspect
The physical aspect is in the hands of the doctors
God will support them spiritually
The leave aspect is beyond our control

The financial aspect, however, is one area we as friends and devoted fans of the “Bulldog” can help relieve some of their stress by giving. Your support in these efforts will restore BALANCE!

Critical Employee Emergency Planning (CEEP) Training - DHS

Link to Department of Homeland SecurityThe Critical Employee Emergency Planning (CEEP) curriculum is currently being developed by GSRCPI with funding from the US Department of Homeland Security for emergency responder, government and corporate employees who are required to remain on the job in disaster situations. The training program will guide agency policy, as well as family and personal preparations for evacuations, quarantines, and other scenarios. The goal of the program is to assure, through thoughtful planning and preparation, those we expect to serve and protect of their family’s safety. With the knowledge that families are equipped with the basics of food, clothing, and safe shelter, those who must remain on the job are able to work and serve more effectively.

Please help us help you by giving us approximately 30 minutes of your valuable time to help refine 12 broad topic areas identified by focus groups in Texas, Louisiana, and New York as important to the training. The feedback you provide concerning your agency’s emergency plans and policies, your experiences in serving through critical incidents, what worked, what didn’t, and what should be done in the future are all essential to developing an effective program. This online survey has two versions, one for Critical Employees and another for their family members.
